Your rating can help you understand how much your customers value your service.
How your rating is calculated:
Think of your rating like a running average of all the star ratings you've received for your service in the last 365 days.
- Step 1 Giving Feedback: After each order, both the restaurant staff and the diner have a chance to rate your service from 1 to 5 stars.
- Step 2 Adding It Up: Grubhub takes all the star ratings you've received in the past 365 days and calculates the average. This average is your overall Driver Rating.
- Step 3 Exclusions: We exclude low ratings on deliveries that were already going to be late when you accepted them because it was not your fault.
- Step 4 Fresh Data: Your rating is updated daily as new ratings come in and older ratings (over a year old) are removed. This means your rating can naturally go up or down slightly over time.
Don't worry if you have a lower rating when you haven’t received many reviews or just starting out. With fewer ratings, each new rating has a bigger impact on your average. As you complete more deliveries and receive more positive feedback, your rating will become more stable and better reflect your consistent service quality.
We understand that sometimes things happen beyond your control. We will not penalize you for an occasional low rating. However, consistent low ratings may lead to suspension of platform access.
