Some Grubhub orders require that the driver pays for the order at the merchant. The Grubhub Driver Card is sent to Drivers by Grubhub so that these orders can be paid for by Grubhub. The card can be used in two forms:
- Digital Driver Card - used as Debit with a static PIN “0000” at the merchant.
- Physical Driver Card - used as Credit at the merchant.
Digital Driver Card: The digital card can be activated right away in the Account section of the Grubhub for Drivers app and is added to the Apple or Google wallet on your phone. Once your Digital Driver Card is live, make sure to keep your physical card with you during deliveries as a backup payment option. If you don’t have a physical card, order a new one in the Account section.
You can manage your Digital Driver Card by tapping Account at the bottom of the app. Then tap:
- Driver Card
- Digital Driver Card
- From here you can add your Digital Driver Card to the Apple or Google wallet on your phone
Physical Driver Card: The physical card will arrive in the mail and is activated in the Account section of the Grubhub for Drivers app. You can begin delivering without your physical Driver Card until it arrives in your Grubhub Starter Kit. We will ship your Grubhub Starter Kit once you complete your first Grubhub Delivery. Be sure to activate your Physical Card right away once you receive it.
You can manage your Physical Driver Card by tapping Account at the bottom of the app. Then tap:
- Driver Card
- Physical Driver Card
-
From here you can:
- Order a new Physical Driver Car
- Activate a new Physical Driver Card
- View shipping status of an ordered Physical Driver Card
Please note: The Physical Card and the Digital Card are different cards with different identification numbers. The Physical Card cannot be added to the Apple or Google wallet on your phone. Grubhub is making the checkout process easier by providing different options for your preference.
You should never pay for any Grubhub order that you have accepted for delivery with any form of payment other than the Grubhub Driver Card.
