Am I eligible for extra pay to disinfect my vehicle?
Beginning April 25, 2021, all drivers assigned to the CA - San Francisco market will be eligible for compensation for time spent sanitizing in San Francisco, CA under the San Francisco Emergency Ordinance - Grocery Store, Drug Store, Restaurant, and On-Demand Delivery Service Employee Protections for completed orders. You’ll receive this payment with your weekly direct deposit. The payment will reflect in your Bonus Pay for every order.

Do I need to submit a request to receive this pay?
No. For eligible San Francisco drivers, compensation will automatically be added to your pay for time spent sanitizing high touch areas of your vehicle and sanitizing your delivery bag. You do not need to request the payment.
What happens if I need to drop a scheduled block?
If you are assigned to the CA - San Francisco market and you request to drop scheduled blocks, your Driver Recognition Program (DRP) will not be impacted. You should contact Care as soon as possible prior to dropping a scheduled block to have the block removed.
How much am I getting paid?
Pay for time spent sanitizing high touch areas of your vehicle and sanitizing your delivery bag is calculated off the current minimum wage for Government-Supported employees set forth in Admin Code Section 12R.4(b), which is currently $14.22.
