Grubhub relies on receiving a GPS signal from your Grubhub for Drivers app in order to connect with our platform. Below are some tips to help troubleshoot any app connectivity issues you may have.
iOS Users
Permissions and Settings
Make sure that the following permissions are enabled for the Grubhub for Drivers app
- Location Settings > Always
- Background App Refresh > On
- Cellular Data > On
Turn on Location Services
Ensure location services are enabled in the Settings app
Settings > Privacy > Location Services
Disable Wi-Fi
Automatically connecting to nearby public Wi-Fi networks can result in inadvertent loss of network connectivity.
Enable Automatic Date & Time
The Grubhub for Drivers app requires an accurate device clock. Turn on "Set Automatically" under Settings > General > Date & Time.

Disable Airplane Mode
Make sure that Airplane mode is turned off. Airplane mode is designed to disable some of your phone’s hardware functions including all cellular connectivity meaning your device will stop communicating with cell towers. It may also disable GPS-receiving functionality, thereby disconnecting you to Grubhub for Drivers app.

Disable Low Power Mode
Low Power Mode can lead to connection issues when the device screen is off or the Grubhub for Drivers app is running in the background.
Settings > Battery > Low Power Mode
Data Access
Your plan may stop data access if you are talking on the phone or streaming apps. Check your plan to see if this applies to you.
Running Multiple Apps
It’s advised that for optimal performance you close all apps running in the background, specifically streaming and social media apps, while using the Grubhub for Drivers app, as to not overload your phone.
If All Else Fails...
Please toggle unavailable, delete the app on your phone & redownload the app making sure to select yes to all permissions.
Android Users

Turn on Location High Accuracy Mode (if available on your device)
Ensure location access is enabled in the Settings app and is set to High Accuracy.
Additionally, enable Google Location Accuracy if available on your device.
