What do I do if the restaurant is out of the diner’s menu item?

Reach out to the diner regarding an item substitution option. 

An example of this could be: "The restaurant is out of fries, but they have onion rings, would you like to substitute for onion rings?"

What if the diner doesn’t pick up or respond?

If you don’t hear back from the diner in a timely manner, please feel free to make a decision on behalf of the diner by choosing a similar item that is either equal or less than the cost of the unavailable item.

When doing so, please make sure to check the diner's notes on the order for any unwanted items or allergies. 

Once you've placed the order, make sure to text the diner to inform them of the substitution.
